This week is our last week in Castleton University, I really don't want to leave, but life is often so, we have to accept the departure again and again. This week I try my best to use every time to feel the beauty of castleton, so it make me until today have no time to write blog, fortunately my memory is good enough. On Monday we went to a Chinese restaurant to eat lunch, the restaurant owner from FuJian Province in China, they are very warm and friendly, of course, their also cook very delicious. But careful comparison, between them and the food I often eat in China there are some differences. First,I think that the food in GingerChina do more towards southeastern China's eating habits, dishes with more liquid. My hometown is in southwest China, we won't have so much soup cooking. Second, GingerChina food is not too spicy, even have a little sweet, this kind of diet habit in southeast China are common. Third, we ordered a plate of Fried chicken wings, actually Fried chicken wings in China is uncommon food in China. In addition to like KFC, McDonald's such a common Fried chicken from overseas, Korean Fried chicken shop is open at a furious pace in recent years, filled the streets of China. Compared with the traditional Fried chicken, Korean Fried chicken tastes will be more colourful so I think the Fried chicken wings at GingerChina is more similar with the Korean Fried chicken. Finally, GingerChina's soup is typical soup in southwest China, add some starch, make the soup more sticky, in my hometown, there almost won't someone do this soup. To sum up, the diet culture of each country are diverse, different regions have different eating habits, there are can't simply say somewhere good or not good. But the most important thing is that in GingerChina I am really happy to have dinner with everybody, thanks for Castleton University.
